Changed the wording on the link to The Spinner Rack to include the new year. Be sure to check out the column every month for lots of Silver Age Comic Book goodness in every byte.

I fixed the puzzles (why do they stop working? I have no idea). I added a link to my CGC column under Favorite Links. I will also openly admit that the whole blogging thing totally fell by the wayside. I was spending way too much time goofing around with them. It was fun, but it was like a full time job, so I stopped posting updates, for the most part.
I also realize it looks like I haven't touched this website for almost a year. Not true. I just can't seems to remember to post a note in the What's New section. There's some circular logic for you -- telling you I always forget to post in the What's New section while posting in the What's New section. Cue Twilight Zone music, please.
On that note, I bid thee farewell. Or farepoorly. Your choice.

I added a link to my blog on the Internet Links page. I've tried blogging before, always anonymously and only posted sporadically. This time the blog is under my name and my intention is to post daily. I hope you'll swing by and give it a look.

I added the Memories page. It's just an incident from my youth, but a memorable for my family. The picture of me with my older brother Tim is from a Christmas card. I used a cropped version of just my face for my home page and figured it might be fun to see where that came from.
As for other changes, I can't remember what they were. I really haven't ignored the site for as many months as it appears -- I simply forget to fill out the What's New page. Yeah, I'm so very efficient.

I fixed the puzzles in the "Other" section. Apparently, the place that let me creeate them felt it was necessary to include a weird square pulsating ad in the upper corner whenever you do a puzzle. Sorry about that. I have no idea how to get rid of it. Anyway, what it meant was that my puzzles suddenly stopped working so I had to redo them and grab the new code. Not that the puzzles are important, but I like them.

I had some other updates before this, but I can't remember what they were and forgot to post them here. I think I added a couple of reviews for some of the books and some other unknown thing(s).
Today I added the notice of the Millionth student prize give-away. You can win a laptop computer if you're the millionth Ed2Go student. To do this, all you have to do is sign up for my class. Before you ask, yes, it works for all Ed2Go classes, but that's beside the point. It's my class you want to sign up for because a) it's really fun, b) every single student gets to be the class clown, c) you'll learn a lot, and d) if my class gets the millionth student, I also get a laptop. Let's both be happy!

Added the links page. Dunno why. Just felt like it. It's a little redundant with the music links, but the writing links are new. I'll think of more to add later.

I deleted the old "About" page and put in a bio. I deleted the old "Fiction" page and put in a page for "The Curse of the Inca". I'm hoping to be able to expand that soon. I deleted the guest book on every page because filthy, rotten, scum-sucking, don't deserve to be called human, I wish they were all in jail for their crimes of stealing my time and causing me frustration, bottom-dwelling, evil, hell-bound spammers kept messing it up every single day. I do not have a high opinion of them. I would prefer there to be capital punishment for anyone who dares to spam. Period. No quarter given, no appeal, no parole -- death penalty via hanging by thumb screws while being read a constant stream of spam.
Yeah, I'm a little ticked about this. I liked the guestbook. I liked the notes and I liked seeing who has dropped by. But I had to choose between keeping the guestbook and spending a part of every single day deleting truckloads of spam, or deleting the guestbook and never knowing who's been here. I kept the thing up for awhile just doing the deleting thing, but everyone has their limits. Today, I reached mine. Oh, but I despise them for this.
I can't remember what other changes I made today. I think there were a couple of small edits here and there. Anyway, a big day for improving the site.

I decided to go a little high tech (for me) and add my video of "Aliens Are Dancing on the Milky Way". The sound quality isn't great, but you can solve that by clicking on any of the music site links and looking it up. The picture quality isn't the greatest either because I posted the video on YouTube and they make it bigger than it's supposed to be. It's also on iCompositions, so if you prefer a slightly better version, go there.
I also changed the link to the song "Smooth As Silk" to make it a little more noticeable. G'won, click on it! If you like songs in the jazz standard tradition, you'll like it. And feel free to browse the rest of my songs, as well. Free downloads for everyone!

I added the Amazon link for the new Rune book and added a page for the Rune book with the cool dust cover the publisher just sent me. The book isn't due out until October, but I've seen the galleys and it's gorgeous!

I added the "Other" page, so that I had a place to talk about some of the things I've done in the past. And just for fun, I added puzzles of all the images there. I have no idea if the puzzles will work, but I like doing online jigsaw puzzles, so there.

I added detailed pages on the books: A Girl's Best Friend, 10 Spiritual Lessons You Can Learn From Your Cat, and 10 Spiritual Lessons You Can Learn From Your Dog. That was a lot of work. I should've gone grocery shopping, but instead, I played with this website. It's addictive, I tell ya!

Today was about aesthetics. I put all the pages into Word so that I could do stuff that I have no idea how to do in html. I changed the font and size, put hot links into the About Me page, added a description of the illustration for the Get Funny class, and well, a bunch of other small things. I've done little else today, other than watch the Olympics and mess around. Not a high energy day for me, I guess. Then again, it is the weekend, so why not? Good day to goof off.

Added reviews that were easy to copy and paste to the Yo Meow Ma page. If I get real ambitious, I'll type in some of the ones I have that aren't online. For example, my hometown newspaper did a big feature on me and the book. There are some errors in the story, though, so I may add a running commentary. The mistakes were kind of funny, actually, so it might be worth all the typing. I also watched the Olympics tonight. I love the Olympics. However, I will not be adding a "Joanna watches the Olympics" page. Even I have my limits.
Added a strange picture to the Classes page. Not sure if I'm going to keep it. But as long as it's there, here's what's going on with that pic. It's a montage of illustrations I drew for my comedy class, all but one of which never made it in (they switched styles halfway through my writing the class and eliminated all the illustrations we had to choose). The only thing that made it is the drawing of Woody Allen. The rest of the pics, clockwise from Woody are: A viking (I did a section on Viking humor), a panel cartoon (for the part where I talked about panel cartoons -- getting the idea?), The Spanish Inquisition from Monty Python, and the Baby Ruth in the pool scene from Caddyshack. The center pick is something I saw on TV -- a drunk guy, pulled over by the cops and the drunk goes crazy, puts a street cone on his head and dances around.

I added a page dedicated to "The Wisdom of Yo Meow Ma", showing some interior pages. The illustrator did a marvelous job, don't you think? I'll work on getting some interiors for the other books. Then again, you could just buy them all and then you'd have all the interiors you want. That's a fine idea! Go buy all of the books using those handy links on the Books page. Mama needs more toys.
I changed my welcome message to make it a bit more welcoming. I can tell this will be an ongoing thing cuz I really have no idea what I want to say there. I also changed my mind about what to have for dinner. This did not impact the website, but as I type, I'm happily sated and that should count for something.

Added the short story "The Red Grain of Sand" to the Fiction page, cuz that page was pretty darn empty. I did the illustration myself and am way too proud of it. Ah, Appleworks, a fine little program it is. I wrote the short story quite awhile ago, but I've always had a soft spot for it in me ever-lovin' heart. I hope you enjoy it.

Added page about Trace and Ilsa. Added "What's New?" page. Changed the Welcome page, although it's still ridiculously unwelcoming. I also did some laundry, but my April fresh scent doesn't appear to affect cyberspace.
